Tourism is considered one of the main pillars supporting Cambodia’s economy.Deputy Prime Minister Vongsey Vissoth, who headed the ceremony marking the start of operations, said the new airport will be officially inaugurated on Nov. 16 by Prime Minister Hun Manet and top Chinese officials.Another Chinese-funded airport is being constructed at a cost of $1.5 billion to serve the capital Phnom Penh.
